With his eponymous trio this Spanish pianist made a name for himself.
Playing solo he channels his myriad influences, from Argentinian chacarera rhythms, to Mahler-inspired harmonies, into compositions and improvisations that balance each other effortlessly. Xavi Torres was a semi-finalst in the esteemed Thelonious Monk competititon in 2018.
